In Japan sind sie seit über 350 Jahren bekannt, in Deutschland kennt sie kaum jemand - die Flüssigtapeten oder Baumwollputze. Sie bestehen aus einem Gemisch aus Textilfasern, Effektmaterial und einem lösemittelfreien Trockenklebemittel. Durch das Effektmaterial, Stäbchen oder Glitzer, lassen sich unterschiedlichste Dekore an Wand und Decke realisieren.

Das Grundmaterial Baumwolle ist sehr haltbar und strapazierfähig. Es kann bis zu 50 % seines Eigengewichts an Feuchtigkeit aufnehmen und wieder an den Raum abgeben. Dazu kommen gute wärme- und schalldämmende Eigenschaften.
Das Material lässt sich sehr einfach verarbeiten. Kleine Risse im Untergrund können mit der hochflexiblen Beschichtung problemlos überdeckt werden. Flüssigtapete bietet sich bei der Renovierung wie auch für die Ausstattung von Neubauten an.
Spezielle Anforderungen wie Rundbögen, Säulen oder Fensterstürze lassen sich ebenso problemlos bewältigen wie eine glatte Wand.

Für die Verarbeitung von flüssiger Tapete sollte der Untergrund fest, trocken, sauber und einheitlich gefärbt sein. Leichte Unebenheiten stellen dagegen kein Problem dar.
Die Trocknungszeit der Flüssigtapete ist abhängig von der Raumtemperatur sowie der Belüftung und beträgt zwischen zwei und vier Tagen.
Bei Beschädigungen kann die Wandbeschichtung meist mühelos ausgebessert werden.
